## Description

The Carnevale Storico Trinese is a community carnival in Trino, Italy, with a history dating to 1952. Its founding legend tells of the Bella Castellana, a captive noblewoman freed by a brave captain who returns her to the people of Trino. To celebrate her homecoming, the townspeople organize three days of festivities, a tradition that has grown into a long-running series of events and celebrations.

The website is presented by the Comitato dell’Associazione Nuovo Carnevale Trinese and serves as a public archive dedicated to preserving and sharing the carnival’s history. Since 2021, the organizers have gathered photographs, videos, and other historical material contributed by local residents and supporters. Visitors can explore the story of the carnival, learn about its reigning figures, view photo and video collections, and discover the song and poetry associated with the Castellana. The archive is also shared through digital photo and video platforms and the organization’s social media channels, helping audiences revisit the events and memories that have shaped Trino’s carnival over the decades.
