## Description

Carolina BalloonFest is an annual hot air balloon festival held in Statesville, North Carolina, on the third weekend of October. Hosted by National Balloon Rally Charities, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it is described as the second-oldest hot air balloon festival in the country. The event celebrates ballooning with competitions, mass ascensions, and evening balloon glows, bringing together visitors for a colorful, family-friendly experience. Alongside the balloons, attendees can enjoy live music, local food, and activities for children. The festival also offers tether rides and opportunities to book a balloon ride, giving guests ways to experience ballooning beyond watching the displays. Visitors can find practical event information, including schedules, FAQs, parking, food, and RV camping details, as well as vendor interest and sponsorship opportunities. Carolina BalloonFest welcomes community support through donations to its charitable mission and invites people to join its email list for news and updates. With its blend of balloon events, entertainment, and family activities, the festival offers a lively way to experience the region each fall.
