## Description

Carricks Brook is a residential care home in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of Dallington, East Sussex. Opened in 2009, the home supports 12 residents with autism and behaviours of concern, offering en-suite bedrooms and bright communal spaces designed to accommodate individual needs. Its specialist-trained staff provide a high level of support, with the aim of helping each resident reach their potential and enjoy a fulfilling, purposeful life.

Care is person-centred and shaped around residents’ preferences, goals and communication needs. Support approaches may include Positive Behaviour Analysis, the Picture Exchange Communication System, Social Stories, Makaton and symbols. Carricks Brook also has an in-house trainer in N.A.P.P.I. techniques, supporting the development of individual Positive Behaviour Support plans. Residents can enjoy walks in nearby forests and access the wider community with staff support.

Carricks Brook also offers career opportunities in support work, day activities and team leadership. Employees receive induction and ongoing training, with access to Health and Social Care qualifications and opportunities for career progression.
