## Description

Carried by Your Village is the maternal support practice of Tessa, a perinatal counsellor, partner and mother of two. Grounded in her experience of loneliness during early motherhood and her background in research on pregnancy and mental health, Tessa’s work focuses on helping expectant and new mothers feel supported, connected and better prepared for parenthood. Her approach offers a warm, non-judgmental space for mothers to reflect, alongside practical tools they can use in everyday life.

The services presented include one-to-one counselling, a course to create a personalised postpartum plan, and “Let’s Kickstart Your Village,” a four-month programme designed to connect a small group of local mothers. Participants meet regularly and are encouraged to build lasting relationships and practical mutual support, from sharing meals to meeting for coffee after a difficult night. The website also features free resources, a blog and the “Village Voices” podcast. Tessa’s site currently states that she is not active and is not reading messages, so these services may not presently be available.
