# Cartes postales France - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `cartes-postales-france.com` ## Description Cartes-Postales-France.com is a website dedicated to exploring the history and visual heritage of France through antique postcards. Its online collection brings together approximately 32,900 cards associated with 8,239 towns, covering regions across mainland France and overseas territories. The postcards depict historic places, landscapes, monuments, local life and traditional occupations, offering collectors, history enthusiasts and curious visitors a window into earlier times. Visitors can browse by region, department, town and subject, with themes including churches, railway stations, town halls, trades, washhouses, lithographs, vintage advertising and regional recipes. The collection spans the early years of postcard correspondence through the mid-twentieth century. The site states that its cards have been carefully cleaned to improve their appearance while preserving their historical character. Cartes-Postales-France.com is designed as a resource for discovering and viewing these archival images, rather than as a retailer: it explicitly notes that postcards are not sold through the site. It also features recently added cards and provides an option to send an old postcard. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Antiques and Collectibles _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [pinterest](https://pinterest.com/@pin) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Azure Radiance | #009cff | accent | | Chambray | #3b5898 | dark | | Anakiwa | #9accff | light | ## Fonts - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
