## Description

CASCA, or the Canadian Anthropology Society, is the representative body for Canadian anthropologists, founded in 1974 to foster the exchange of ideas and promote the discipline across Canada. With a mission to connect members and enhance research opportunities, CASCA serves over 500 members through initiatives such as annual conferences, publications, and networking resources. The organization aims to uphold excellence in anthropology education and ensures that the contributions of the discipline are recognized by funding agencies and governments. CASCA's historical commitment to addressing socially and politically relevant issues, particularly those affecting Canadian Indigenous communities, remains at the forefront of its activities. The society produces scholarly works, including the journal "Anthropologica" and the bilingual bulletin "Culture," while also advocating for anthropology's visibility in various sectors. As an advocate for the profession, CASCA engages with broader organizations to ensure the discipline's vital role is maintained in academia and society. Join CASCA to be part of a vibrant community of anthropologists dedicated to advancing the field.
