## Description

Casa do Povo de Nogueira do Cravo is a community association in Oliveira do Hospital, Portugal, founded in 1934 to serve local residents and preserve traditions across generations. Established with the support of local benefactor Dr. António Madeira Tinoco, it has played an important role in the village’s social, cultural, sporting, educational and health-related life. Today, the association continues to support community activities and initiatives.

Its cultural work includes Grupo de Cantares, whose members perform traditional music from the Beiras and Portugal, blending respect for older customs with a contemporary touch. The association also maintains a museum exhibition featuring historical objects, construction tools and sporting trophies, alongside a limited-access library with books, local newspapers and community records.

Practical support includes a resource bank offering items such as wheelchairs, walkers and crutches for recovery after hospital stays. Current plans include developing the Os Arguinas senior residence and a museum and library.
