## Description

Associação da Casa do Povo de Alvaiázere is a community association serving people in Alvaiázere, Portugal, through social care, inclusion and training initiatives. Its services include a residential home that operates around the clock throughout the year, with individual and shared rooms, activity and social spaces, a dining room and adapted facilities. The association also runs CACI, a community-based Centre for Activities and Inclusion Capacity Building. This service aims to support autonomy, independent living, quality of life, personal and professional development, and social inclusion for people with disabilities.

Since January 2019, the association has been a training provider certified by DGERT, Portugal’s Directorate-General for Employment and Labour Relations. Its work also includes the CLDS 4G Alvaiázere social development programme, which seeks to address local social needs and promote inclusion, particularly for children, older people and residents affected by calamities. The association invites community members to participate by becoming members or volunteers, or by supporting its work through donations and the solidarity tax designation scheme.
