## Description

Castorina is a design gallery and retailer based at 202 Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, presenting original and carefully restored furniture, lighting, and decorative objects. The brand focuses on mid-century Italian design, celebrating the post-war period’s experimentation and the artists and designers who shaped it. Its collection includes prototypes, limited editions, museum-grade pieces, and objects with notable provenance, alongside contemporary design. Featured works range from seating, tables, and storage to lamps, mirrors, and other collectible furnishings by designers such as Osvaldo Borsani, Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, and Gae Aulenti. Castorina also showcases newer work by creatives including Lucas Recchia and Analogia Project, connecting historical design with current practice. Beyond its current collection, the brand offers an archive collection and shares stories, designer features, and curated presentations through its website. Castorina participates in design events and fairs, including PAD London, Design Miami/Paris, and Nomad Abu Dhabi, and presents special projects and contemporary collaborations.
