## Description

Catholic Concern for Animals (CCA) is a global non-profit organization that seeks to advance Christian respect and responsibility for the animal creation, particularly in line with Catholic teaching and beliefs. Since its establishment in 1929, CCA has grown into a worldwide organization, collaborating with various faith-based entities and political groups to influence policy, media, and public opinion on how animals are perceived and treated in human society.

CCA's work encompasses advocacy, education, spirituality, and practical support for small sanctuaries through its Phyllis Mary Trust. The organization publishes The Ark, a magazine featuring contributions from leading animal theologians, welfare advocates, and providing opportunities for reflection on related topics. Additionally, CCA administers the Global Animal Rescue Fund, providing grants to animal rescue centers and sanctuaries, especially those operating in challenging socio-cultural or economic environments.

By influencing attitudes within the clergy, the political world, and the public, CCA aims to create a compassionate world for all God’s creatures, fulfilling its mission to cherish and care for all creation. For more information, visit their website.
