## Description

Catholic Philly is a digital brand that aims to provide Catholic news, faith formation, and inspiration to the community in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and beyond. Established as the digital successor to The Catholic Standard and Times, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese, Catholic Philly continues the mission of its predecessor in a convenient and accessible digital format.

With a history dating back to 1895, The Catholic Standard and Times was a highly regarded source of Catholic journalism, receiving numerous awards for its outstanding content. However, due to changing circumstances and a decline in readership, the newspaper ceased publication in June 2012. Despite the closure, Catholic Philly emerged to carry on the important work of informing, educating, and inspiring Catholics through news and feature stories.

Catholic Philly is regularly updated with fresh content from local contributors and global partners, including Catholic News Service. As you explore the website, you'll find breaking Catholic news, thought-provoking commentaries, engaging podcasts, and inspiring photo and video features.

Join Catholic Philly in their mission to spread the word, stay informed, and deepen your faith. Sign up for their free weekly email newsletter, and don't hesitate to reach out with your news tips or comments. By making a donation, you can contribute to the continuation of this valuable resource for the Catholic community.
