Catsuka is one of the oldest global sites dedicated to animation cinema, with a presence on the web for 23 years (created in 2000). It was also a bi-monthly television program on the Nolife channel for 8 years and is occasionally featured in magazines, exhibitions, and even France Télévisions. Catsuka is a personal venture, run single-handedly and out of pure passion, as it is not the creator's full-time job. The site is non-profit, hosted by an association, and funded by user donations and Patreon. The original idea for Catsuka was conceived in 1999 during a computer science program, and it has since evolved into a platform that highlights the creator's passions for animation and comics. Since then, Catsuka has grown into a web ecosystem comprising various sites and features, such as a player, theater, shopping, and kids' sites. This brand aims to promote and share lesser-known animation talents and productions from around the world to foster a better understanding and appreciation of the art form.
