CBI, short for Consensus Building Institute, is a nonprofit organization with a wealth of experience in helping leaders come together to solve complex problems. Our focus is on collaborating to address urgent challenges in the social, environmental, and economic spheres. With expertise in facilitation, mediation, capacity building, citizen engagement, and organizational strategy, we work within and across various organizations and stakeholder groups. Our practice is based on the evidence-based Mutual Gains Approach, developed at Harvard Law School, which focuses on generating mutually beneficial outcomes. Our team possesses extensive content knowledge, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the legal, technical, and policy dimensions of complex issues. Additionally, we prioritize inclusive engagement, custom designing processes based on stakeholder input and continuously seeking collaboration to drive desired outcomes. Through our commitment to reflective practice and continual learning, we contribute to the advancement of our field by refining our thinking and approach.
