Welcome to the Centre of Bio-Medical Research (CBMR) in Lucknow. Established in 1999 as a unit of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, CBMR aims to bridge the gap between basic and clinical scientists and cultivate human resources to fully utilize the potential of Magnetic Resonance, a field that has produced seven Nobel Laureates. Over the years, CBMR successfully achieved its objectives and, recognizing its significance, the government transformed it into an autonomous institution with its own governing council and management structure. CBMR is dedicated to interdisciplinary research in Magnetic Resonance and the development of human resources at a national level. We offer a wide range of services under one roof and prioritize the transfer of technology to client organizations. Our research areas encompass chemical biology, metabolomics, molecular synthesis, functional MRI, cancer biology, and more. At CBMR, we strive to build a world-class research institute focused on disease-oriented research. We aim to translate laboratory discoveries into new diagnoses and therapies for the betterment of humanity.
