Community-Based Research Centre (CBRC) is a non-profit charitable organization that strives to promote the health and well-being of people of diverse sexualities and genders through research and intervention development. With a focus on community-led research, knowledge exchange, network building, and leadership development, CBRC positions itself as a thought leader that translates ideas into impactful actions within our communities. Established in 1999, CBRC has its main office in Vancouver, British Columbia, along with satellite offices in Edmonton, Toronto, and Halifax.

CBRC's Projects + Initiatives aim to strengthen the health of Two-Spirit, queer, trans, and non-binary individuals in Canada. These initiatives include community-based research projects like Sex Now and Investigaytors, knowledge exchange platforms like Summit and CBRCevents. net, network-building activities like Advance and The Network, as well as leadership development programs like Pivot and Totally Outright.

CBRC also actively participates in campaigns and initiatives such as Resist Stigma and HIV Funding Campaign. CBRC acknowledges and deeply respects the unceded territories of Indigenous peoples across Canada. They endorse the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action and actively integrate Two-Spirit and Indigenous staff into their organization.
