## Description

The Colorado Council of Black Nurses, Inc. (CCBN) is a Colorado-based organization advancing the nursing profession and promoting equitable, culturally competent health care. For 50 years, it has worked collaboratively to address health care and health status disparities, support professional nursing, and contribute to improvements in health initiatives, policies, standards, and nursing education.

CCBN supports the next generation of nurses through scholarships, student membership, and events that recognize emerging scholars and nurses. Its scholarship program accepts applications during a designated annual period, and donations and membership contributions help support nursing education. The organization also hosts meetings, community events, and the CCBN Space Expo, offering opportunities for public engagement.

Through outreach, educational resources, and webinars, CCBN addresses health equity and shares information on topics including COVID-19. It invites people of all backgrounds to join or support its mission, emphasizing a shared commitment to equitable health care for all. CCBN also promotes community participation in shaping health care standards and encourages engagement with issues such as racism across the health care continuum.
