Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador (CCNL) is a dedicated not-for-profit organization that provides training and employment opportunities in environmental and cultural heritage conservation to the youth. Their goal is to help young people develop leadership, teamwork, and employment skills while working with communities and partners to enhance and sustainably develop the natural and cultural resources of the province. CCNL has a rich history, being established in 1992 by the Economic Recovery Commission to increase quality employment and training for youth and community partners in the field of conservation.


They are a provincial community-based organization that fosters a strong environmental ethic and creates partnerships and capacity in communities across Newfoundland and Labrador to address environmental and cultural priorities. CCNL's programs include youth employment opportunities, environmental education, and support for communities and partner organizations to address conservation priorities and build climate resilience.
