The Counseling Center of the North Shore (CCNS) is a nonprofit mental health center dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and transitions. With a history dating back to 1893, CCNS has evolved from providing physical support to addressing emotional needs through counseling and therapy. Today, our licensed clinicians work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to address a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, marital conflicts, and more.

We serve clients from the North Shore and Chicago, offering in-person and telehealth therapy in English and Spanish. Additionally, we provide psychological testing and assessments at a sliding fee basis, making mental health services more accessible. Our clinicians also conduct presentations and workshops on various mental health subjects for community groups and professionals.

CCNS accepts various insurance plans and Medicare clients, and for self-pay clients, fees are determined by household income.
