## Description

The Chicago Community Trust is a philanthropic organization working to build a Chicago region where equity is central and opportunity and prosperity are within reach for all. It collaborates with community partners, donors, civic leaders, local organizations, and residents to strengthen financial well-being and help people feel secure, care for their families, and invest in the region’s future. Its work focuses on homeownership, income and financial assets, small-business growth, community development, collective power, policy change, and addressing critical needs. The Trust also connects philanthropy to community impact through partnerships, initiatives, and giving opportunities. Donors can support Trust initiatives, contribute through affinity funds and other giving vehicles, or plan a legacy; the organization also provides resources for professional advisors. The Trust awards grants and shares information about funding opportunities and application processes. Grants from its endowment are limited to organizations based in or primarily serving Cook County. Through its grantmaking, research, stories, and community partnerships, the Trust aims to help create a stronger, more inclusive Chicago region where everyone can contribute to and benefit from the economy.
