## Description

Coimbatore District Tennis Association (CDTA) is a tennis organisation founded in the early 1970s by K. Srinivasan, Shri Rama Ranganathan and Shri P.R. Dhamodharan. Based in Coimbatore, it is an active body within Indian tennis and has hosted Davis Cup matches, including a 1977 event in the city. CDTA organises ITF, AITA and non-ranking tournaments, as well as an annual interclub league that attracts participation from more than 80 clubs. Its activities also include tennis workshops intended to nurture young players and district-level championships.

The association provides an online platform for player registration and event enrolment, with services for tracking rankings and managing tournament and league participation. Members can create a player profile, register for eligible events and access association information through the website. CDTA also shares tournament news, league updates, galleries and details about membership, activities and office bearers. With programmes for competition, development and community participation, the association supports tennis players and clubs across Coimbatore and nearby districts.
