## Description

Ceàrd is a global maker platform and an initiative of Ceàrd Studio, created to put craft, collaboration, human skill, and creativity at the center of culture. Its name comes from Scottish Gaelic, where “ceàrd” means “craft.” The platform aims to bring education, commerce, and community together in a unified ecosystem, supporting makers both online and in the physical world.

Ceàrd shares craft education, traditional craft guides, tutorials, and stories that highlight artisans, their tools, and the often-unseen work behind what people make. Its Maker Spotlight celebrates individual makers and the skills, processes, and stories that shape their work. The brand describes making as a source of intrinsic value and believes makers deserve lasting recognition, context, and a community that understands the effort involved.

Built by people engaged in practices including cooking, carving, gardening, welding, stitching, sketching, sewing, and weaving, Ceàrd seeks to provide a home for today’s makers and help protect craft culture for future generations. The site invites visitors to join its waitlist for updates and limited early-access membership.
