## Description

The Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) is a groundbreaking initiative launched by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) of Nigeria. Aimed at fostering the growth and innovation of the country's creative and cultural industries, CEDF represents a significant investment in sectors such as film, music, fashion, art, publishing, gaming, and cultural tourism. This fund is designed to provide much-needed capital injections, enabling businesses to expand their production capabilities and access new markets.

By opening new avenues of financing, CEDF empowers creative entrepreneurs who previously faced barriers in obtaining traditional funding, thus boosting job creation and economic diversification, particularly for the youth. Additionally, the fund introduces a transformative model that allows creative talents to leverage their intellectual property as financial assets, unlocking the potential of Nigeria's rich creative content. With applications running in two phases until June 2025, the CEDF is set to significantly enhance Nigeria's cultural footprint on the global stage.
