## Description

Cedro Mineração is a Brazilian iron ore company focused on combining efficient operations with environmental responsibility and community development. Its activities span the extraction, processing and sale of iron ore. The company reports two operating mines, two mines in development and annual production of seven million tonnes. It is investing in a transition to pellet feed, a high-quality, low-silica iron ore product that can help steelmakers reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Sustainability is central to Cedro’s approach. The company filters all waste generated by its operations and stacks the filtered material dry, avoiding the use of tailings dams. At the Mina do Gama in Nova Lima, it reuses 85% of the water used in production. Cedro also invests in technology and innovation, infrastructure improvements, and more than 60 projects supporting health, education, culture and sports in local communities. Its priorities include responsible resource management, safety, ethical governance and respect for people and the environment.
