## Description

The Centro de Energia, Finanças e Desenvolvimento (CEFD) is a think tank focused on advancing the energy transition as a driver of sustainable development in the Global South. Its work examines the connections between energy policy, industrial strategy, and finance, with the aim of mobilizing capital, strengthening institutions, and shaping public policies that link climate action with economic diversification. The organization’s mission is to help ensure the transition delivers climate justice and shared prosperity.

CEFD offers research and analysis on the political and economic challenges of building low-carbon economies, including topics such as climate finance and industrial policy. Its studies are intended to inform public policymaking, civil society strategies, and responsible private-sector practices. The centre also develops strategic partnerships with governments and civil society organizations, bringing stakeholders together through events and coordinated agendas to advance practical solutions for a fair energy transition. Through communication activities, it makes specialized discussions more accessible and raises awareness of key issues. Its public-facing resources include publications, updates, events, a podcast, and a newsletter.
