## Description

MITECO, or the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, is dedicated to safeguarding the environment in Spain, particularly focusing on the management of natural resources and biodiversity. One of the prominent initiatives under this ministry is Cel Fosc, an association committed to combating light pollution, which significantly impacts both terrestrial and marine ecosystems. Cel Fosc engages actively in advocacy and public consultation processes, such as their recent contributions to the management plans for the marine Natura 2000 Network, specifically targeting Special Protection Areas for Birds (ZEPA). The association emphasizes awareness of light pollution's effects on health, energy consumption, environment, and safety. They provide resources for the public on the legal aspects of lighting and its environmental implications. By encouraging individuals to become members and participate in ongoing projects, Cel Fosc aims to foster a collective effort in addressing light pollution and protecting our natural habitats for future generations.
