## Description

Census Online is a valuable resource founded in 1996 by Mark Reed, then a young Electrical Engineering student at the University of Michigan. Initially starting with a transcription of the 1850 census for Greene County, Tennessee, Census Online has since grown to include nearly 40,000 links to online census transcriptions, making it the go-to platform for accessing these records. The platform owes its success to the dedication of individuals who tirelessly transcribe and host records, as well as those who contribute new links and assist in site maintenance. Mark Reed, now a graduate and Web Operations Manager, continues to be actively involved in genealogy, focusing on his American and Canadian heritage. At Census Online, we are committed to helping you navigate your genealogical journey with ease. Explore our vast collection and let us assist you in uncovering your roots.
