## Description

**Brand Description: Centinelas Cantabria**

Centinelas Cantabria is a pioneering environmental organization established in 2011, dedicated to the protection and management of marine environments along the Cantabrian coastline. By adopting the European volunteer program, Coastwatch, Centinelas invites local volunteers to monitor specific coastal sections during an annual inspection campaign. Each volunteer, referred to as a "Centinela," collects vital environmental data through detailed surveys, which culminate in comprehensive environmental reports submitted to Coastwatch Spain and Europe.

The team is led by Ruth Pirón López, a Marine Science graduate and passionate diver, alongside María Grijuela Restegui, an Environmental Science expert committed to ecological advocacy. Through structured training, Centinelas equips volunteers with essential tools and knowledge for effective coastal assessment. Committed to enhancing environmental awareness and fostering community involvement, Centinelas Cantabria remains at the forefront of marine conservation, making significant strides toward a sustainable future for our oceans. For inquiries, they can be contacted via email or by phone.
