## Description

Central Medical (Pty) Ltd is a South African manufacturer and importer of disposable medical and hygiene supplies, established in 1996. The company began by producing disposable non-woven products locally and was among the early adopters of automated manufacturing processes for medical supplies in South Africa. It has since expanded to import additional disposable products directly, serving healthcare providers and other sectors, including veterinary, catering, food production, beauty, and scientific services.

Its offerings include locally manufactured latex gloves, non-woven apparel, and bandages, alongside imported hygienic and protective supplies. Central Medical’s brands include LYSA, Centromed, Hygienic & Protective (H&P), and Examtex. The company also provides products under customers’ specified branding and can help source supplies suited to particular requirements.

Central Medical emphasizes consistent quality, regulatory and manufacturing standards, and competitive pricing through local production and direct importing. Its community initiatives include supplying gloves and aprons to the KwaZulu-Natal Cerebral Palsy Association during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company provides a product catalogue and serves customers through its Durban and Johannesburg contacts.
