## Description

The Centro di Psicoanalisi di Palermo, established in 1978 by Francesco Corrao, serves as the regional branch of the Società Psiconalitica Italiana and is affiliated with the International Psychoanalytic Association. Located in Palermo, it gathers members from various Sicilian cities to foster the dissemination of psychoanalysis. The center engages in scientific research related to both psychoanalytic theory and clinical practices, while also providing ongoing education and training for future analysts.

Offering a range of services, the Centro organizes seminars, workshops, and conferences focused on contemporary psychoanalytic topics, including gender dysphoria, addiction, and the interpretation of dreams. It also maintains a library rich in psychoanalytic literature and cultural artifacts. Recent initiatives include discussions on the interplay between psychoanalysis and psychopathology, as well as the exploration of artistic expressions related to psychological themes. Through its diverse programs and events, the Centro di Psicoanalisi di Palermo aims to advance understanding of the unconscious mind and its impact on human behavior and relationships.
