Based in Quintela da Lapa, in the municipality of Sernancelhe, it supports older people in an inland area facing population decline, ageing and social isolation. Its principal service is a residential facility for older adults, providing a welcoming, healthy environment with shared social activities, care services, and cultural and leisure opportunities suited to each resident’s abilities. The centre’s mission is to support older people and their families by addressing their rights and needs in an integrated, personalised way. It aims to be a reference in social services through continuous improvement and quality care. Its work is guided by solidarity, respect and ethics, fairness, confidentiality and professionalism.
