Based in Cheb, the organization has evolved from assisting healthcare facilities, care homes, children’s homes, and day centres to developing focused programmes for individuals and families. Its main ongoing initiative, Family Care, helps families caring for a child with a disability at home. CDV has also supported seriously ill adults and educational opportunities for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, including fundraising for medical treatment and assistive equipment. The association aims to develop further community projects shaped by the interest and participation of volunteers, with a particular focus on volunteering, active ageing, and women’s skills and contributions.
