## Description

The Swiss Foundation for Children with Cerebral Palsy supports people with cerebral palsy and their families throughout Switzerland. For more than 60 years, it has helped over 9,700 people, stepping in where public services or insurance do not provide the assistance needed. The foundation aims to ease the demands of everyday life, create opportunities for recreation and respite, promote mobility, and provide access to knowledgeable, comprehensive advice during difficult situations.

Its practical support includes adapted vehicles and financial contributions for driving lessons, therapies that help develop abilities, and caravans adapted for wheelchair users to make holidays more accessible. The foundation also raises awareness of cerebral palsy, a condition resulting from brain damage that occurs during pregnancy, birth, or shortly afterward. Early therapy can help some people with a mild impairment live nearly independently as adults, while people with more severe disabilities may need lifelong care and assistance.

Based in Bern, the foundation relies on donations to continue its work for affected people and their families.
