## Description

The Centre for Studies and Research on Iberian Migrations (CERMI) is a French nonprofit association founded in 1995. It promotes and coordinates research into contemporary Iberian migrations, including political exile and economic migration, and helps share knowledge with researchers and the wider public. CERMI supports the preservation of private archives and other materials related to Iberian exile and emigration, such as newspapers, posters, correspondence, photographs, recordings and films. It also encourages the collection and circulation of written and oral testimonies, and the deposit of documentary materials with institutions equipped to preserve them and make sources accessible for research.

The association publishes the annual journal Exils et migrations ibériques aux XXe et XXIe siècles, produced with contributions from several research centres and published by Riveneuve Éditions. Journal issues are available through Persée and CAIRN, with older issues accessible free of charge. CERMI also takes part in conferences, study days, round tables, exhibitions and other cultural events.
