## Description

CeroFlo is a medical technology company developing next-generation treatments for intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD), a condition in which plaque narrows brain arteries and increases stroke risk. The company focuses on an underserved area of stroke care, where many patients receive no intervention until they have experienced repeated strokes. Its lead product, the SubMax Stent, is designed to help preserve cerebral blood flow by treating arterial stenosis without balloon angioplasty. CeroFlo describes the device as using controlled, submaximal expansion to limit plaque and vessel-wall trauma, alongside a geometry intended to concentrate force at the narrowing while protecting surrounding vessel tissue. The stent also features a Flo-Sure surface finish, developed to support natural blood flow and reduce the risk of thrombotic complications. Together, these design features aim to minimize procedural risks and potentially broaden access to preventative treatment. CeroFlo is engineering the device to offer a safer option for eligible patients with ICAD and to advance stroke prevention. The company shares information about its work through its website and invites inquiries.
