## Description

Certo Aerospace Ltd is a British, 100% UK-owned aerospace company founded in 2008 and led by veterans. Its UK-based engineering team develops uncrewed aircraft and retains the company’s intellectual property in the UK. The company’s flagship product, CAPSTONE, is a sovereign, modular coaxial vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft system designed for defence and civil or commercial missions. Flying since 2023 and in its third year of flight trials, CAPSTONE is built for autonomous operation, including in GPS-denied conditions, and is intended to serve challenging environments and remote locations.

Certo develops its aircraft for a range of applications, including uncrewed logistics, casualty evacuation, disaster relief, construction, maritime services, energy and defence. CAPSTONE’s modular design supports role changes, from transporting supplies to construction and firefighting tasks. The company says the aircraft can reduce fuel consumption and costs, launch and recovery staffing, and maintenance hours compared with an equivalent crewed helicopter. Certo operates with Civil Aviation Authority and Department of Defense authorisations and conducts advanced flight trials.
