## Description

The Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) is an independent economic think tank based in Baku, Azerbaijan. Its mission is to research and analyze socioeconomic issues and help inform public policy decision-making. CESD shares its work through publications, articles, events, and projects addressing Azerbaijan’s economy, regional relations, development, and other policy challenges. Recent topics include economic expectations and budget issues, Azerbaijan-Armenia cooperation, regional connectivity, the Zangezur Corridor, and the socioeconomic conditions and employment prospects of former internally displaced people.

The center also provides opportunities for professional and academic engagement, including research vacancies and a summer internship program. Its activities include the CESD School of Public Policy, a Gender Development Group, and initiatives related to rural development.
