## Description

Competitive Edge Sport Science provides sports performance testing and personalised training support for elite and amateur athletes in Auckland, New Zealand. Led by Ian Kostrzewa, an exercise physiologist and performance tester, the brand works with people involved in running, marathons, triathlon and cycling to help them make informed training decisions and improve performance.

Its services include bloodless lactate testing, which measures lactate data without taking a blood sample, and Functional Movement Screen assessments that identify movement limitations and asymmetries. Competitive Edge also offers training packages and individually tailored plans, developed week by week around each athlete’s goals, schedule and circumstances rather than relying on off-the-shelf programmes. Testing results help guide training intensity, address weaker areas and make sessions more purposeful, including when an athlete has limited time or needs to adapt around an injury.

The brand’s approach combines assessment, practical guidance and responsive coaching. Client testimonials describe support with endurance goals, training plateaus, motivation and preparation for events ranging from half marathons to ultras.
