## Description

The Center for Family Health Initiative (CFHI) is a non-governmental organization with registered headquarters in Southern California. It works with community stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of Black and African American communities, minorities, and vulnerable families. Guided by the belief that healthy families create healthier societies, CFHI aims to protect, promote, and restore family health while addressing social drivers of health inequality.

CFHI’s work combines community-driven research, education, advocacy, and support services through its four-part approach: Assessment, Awareness, Advocacy, and Action. The organization conducts surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis to identify community needs. It also raises awareness of healthcare and social services, promotes preventive care, and advocates for equitable access and policies that reduce structural barriers.

Its services include couple and parenting counseling and referrals, genetics counseling, family planning and contraceptive guidance, and nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and support. CFHI also supports community organizations, runs health campaigns, and develops initiatives focused on family health and economic well-being.
