## Description

The Clooney Foundation for Justice is a global human rights organization dedicated to advancing justice and accountability and supporting people whose rights are at risk. It provides free legal aid in more than 40 countries, focusing on freedom of speech and women’s rights. Through its TrialWatch program, the foundation monitors criminal trials and offers legal support to journalists and others who are unfairly imprisoned, helping challenge abuses of due process and defend free expression. Its Waging Justice for Women program provides legal services to women and girls seeking to protect their rights, including freedom from discrimination, child marriage, and violence. The foundation also supports fellowships and training, including a trial-monitoring course approved by the United Nations human rights office. The Albies, another foundation initiative, recognizes human rights defenders and raises a protective spotlight on those at risk. The foundation reports monitoring more than 1,250 hearings and providing free legal services to over 9,000 women and children.
