Established in 1949 with 54 charter members, CFUW Oakville aims to promote knowledge and education, actively engage in public affairs, provide fellowship and networking opportunities, and offer scholarships to women in the community. The club organizes monthly meetings featuring interesting speakers, facilitates 30 interest groups, funds and awards scholarships, undertakes special community projects, and participates in provincial and national conferences. Additionally, CFUW Oakville contributes to international cooperation by collaborating with CFUW and IFUW for understanding and cooperation among women university graduates worldwide.
