## Description

The Canadian Historical Association (CHA), established in 1922, is a bilingual not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the academic study and open dialogue surrounding Canadian history. By serving as a platform for historians, educators, and the public, the CHA fosters a rich exchange of ideas and research pertinent to Canada’s past. The organization offers a comprehensive array of products and services, including publications, teaching resources, and webinars that address contemporary topics in history education, such as decolonization and diversity. Their annual meetings are a hallmark, providing a space for networking and sharing of scholarly work. The CHA is also committed to the development of best practices for history departments, facilitating the careers of aspiring historians through its Career Contacts Program and resources for navigating the academic job market. Through initiatives that spotlight indigenous histories and experiences, as well as addressing issues of precarity in academia, the CHA actively contributes to the evolving discourse on history in Canada, making it a vital resource for historians and educators alike.
