## Description

ACVV, or the Association Châlonnaise de Vol à Voile, is a gliding club based at Châlons-Écury aerodrome in Écury-sur-Coole, a short distance from Châlons-en-Champagne. Founded in 1979, the association welcomes people interested in discovering and learning the sport of gliding. Its site features two 1,500-metre grass runways and a fleet of gliders, supporting local flying and longer cross-country journeys over areas including Châlons, Reims, the Ardennes, and, on some flights, Belgium or the Vosges.

ACVV offers introductory flights for visitors, as well as information and opportunities for those who want to learn to pilot. The club also shares details about its fleet, prices, flight preparation, live radar, and activities through its website. Beyond flying, it provides a sociable setting for members and visiting pilots, with camping facilities and a clubhouse with a bar. News and events include open days, competitions, training milestones, and seasonal club gatherings. ACVV combines gliding activities with a welcoming community atmosphere in the Champagne region.
