## Description

Sea the Change is an ocean-conservation education organization based in Longmont, Colorado. Its mission is to build awareness and inspire action by helping people understand marine life, ecosystems, and the importance of protecting the ocean. The organization brings ocean science into local classrooms through educational curriculum, school visits, and community projects. Its lessons have covered conservation, food webs, and different kinds of sea animals, with students also engaging with a panel of scientists and the wider science community.

Sea the Change has worked with students at Blue Mountain Elementary and Eagle Crest Elementary and has organized a field trip to the Denver Aquarium. Its curriculum is being developed with input from educators, marine scientists, and conservation organizations. The group also shares updates and educational resources through its blog and outreach efforts, and is connecting with ocean-conservation organizations across the country. Partnerships and connections mentioned include Silver Creek Leadership Academy, the Denver Aquarium, and Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
