## Description

Chaos Mesh is a cloud-native chaos engineering platform designed to help teams test the resilience of Kubernetes systems. It enables users to simulate failures that may occur during development, testing, or production, helping uncover potential problems before they affect users. Built specifically for Kubernetes, the platform uses CustomResourceDefinitions to integrate with the ecosystem and can be deployed directly on clusters, including minikube and kind, without special dependencies.

Chaos Mesh supports a broad range of fault experiments, including disruptions affecting pods, networks, disks, file systems, and operating systems. Users can define experiment targets with selectors based on labels, annotations, and namespaces, and limit the scope of tests with namespace whitelists. Its dashboard helps teams create experiments, monitor their status in real time, and roll back injected failures. Built-in workflows can coordinate experiments in sequence or in parallel, with suspend steps and customized status checks.

Security features include role-based access control. Chaos Mesh also offers Chaosd, an experimental toolkit for testing physical machines, and supports remote experiments on those machines.
