## Description

CHARA ARTS is a small, specialist school for animation filmmaking, located in Bourg-lès-Valence within the Pôle de l’Image Animée at La Cartoucherie. It focuses on character design and 2D animation, offering a preparatory class and a bachelor’s program for students interested in drawing, storytelling and animated characters. The school’s generalist training develops both artistic and technical skills, with particular emphasis on designing and animating characters for films and video games. Students study drawing, shapes and colour, and learn to convey a character’s personality through movement, speech and emotion. Courses are taught by active industry professionals and supported by close, individual guidance. CHARA ARTS aims to prepare students for professional work with animation studios and video game companies in France and internationally. Its location places the school near animation studios and other creative businesses at La Cartoucherie. The school also shares student films and work, offering a glimpse into its courses and creative community. The preparatory and bachelor’s programs are open for applications outside Parcoursup.
