## Description

Character Media, formerly known as Kore Asian Media, is a brand that focuses on reporting the latest in Asian American culture, entertainment, and news. With a mission to better reflect the entire Asian diaspora, the brand changed its name to Character Media in early 2019. The name encompasses the multiple meanings of character - from representing people in movies, films, and books, to being a symbol in an Asian language, and ultimately embodying the quality that makes each human unique. Character Media celebrates, curates, and analyzes the diverse and creative Asian American community. Through engaging videos and articles, the brand showcases influencers who are making a difference. They also organize impactful events like the star-studded Unforgettable Gala and Pro-Am golf tournament, empowering the various characters that make up the growing Asian American community. Originally founded in 1990 as a print operation, Character Media has evolved into two influential publications: the award-winning KoreAm Journal and Audrey Magazine. Supported by parent company Imperial Family Companies, Character Media continues to be a trusted source of Asian American entertainment news.
