About

Description

Chardon & Couchoud is a renowned brand specializing in surface treatments. With a history dating back to 1917, this Lyon-based company initially focused on subcontracting surface treatments and electrolysis. In 1956, the electrolysis workshops and headquarters relocated to Villeurbanne.

The establishment of the Dagnieux site in the Ain plain in 1983 marked the beginning of the DACROMET workshop. In 1996, all activities were consolidated at the Dagneux site, resulting in the closure of the Villeurbanne factory. Over the years, Chardon & Couchoud has expanded its offerings, launching the electroplating process Zinc Nickel in 2004, and introducing coatings such as DELTAPROTEKT, GEOMET, and zinc LANTHANE, which comply with European Environmental Standards (eliminating chrome 6+).

The company's leadership changed hands in 2008, and it now operates under the guidance of Mr. Philippe ANDREU, Mrs. Catherine LIECHTENSTEGER, and a team of dedicated professionals.

In 2010, Chardon & Couchoud acquired the Société de Peinture Industrielle Comtoise (SPIC) in Besançon, which specializes in cataphoresis and GEOMET treatments. With a strong presence in the industrial landscape, Chardon & Couchoud employs around 40 people and generates an annual revenue of approximately 6. 4 million euros.

The newly-formed Société Nouvelle SPIC specializes in surface treatments, particularly in zinc lamellar and cataphoretic treatments. With ISO certifications to its name and a commitment to quality, environmental, and labor safety standards, Chardon & Couchoud is a trusted choice for all surface treatment needs
