Char Gharey is an inclusive brand that represents the resilience and dedication of women farmers from the rural lowlands of Ramechhap, Nepal. Harvested using climate-smart tools and technologies, our legume products are of unbeatable quality. Our women-led enterprises in Ramechhap receive support from the Co-producing a Shock-Resilient Business Ecosystem (CREW) project, in collaboration with Aria Solutions, NIMS College, SIAS, and HBTL, with the support of IDRC, Canada.

In response to the setbacks caused by COVID-19 and the economic downturn, the women of Ramechhap have risen above and taken leadership roles in legume production. Together with Sagarmatha Cooperative and Aria Solutions, we aim to develop green marketing through sustainable agricultural practices.

Char Gharey symbolizes the resilience of women, green farming, and sustainable entrepreneurship. Our mission is to promote climate-friendly sustainable modernization in the agricultural sector by providing a platform for local women entrepreneurs and farmers to sell their high-quality legumes. We strive for national-level consumer outreach and inclusive efforts to support deprived women entrepreneurs and local farmers.
