## Description

Finsterwalder & Charly is a flight-equipment brand serving the hang-gliding and paragliding community since 1974. Its product range includes gliders, helmets and accessories, with products and information available through its catalogue, downloads and online shop. A featured model is the Funfex, a compact short-pack hang glider noted for easy handling, solid performance and a packed length of two metres.

The brand also makes Paralock separation carabiners for connecting paraglider risers. Its safety notices emphasize following the operating instructions, checking that the swivel lever is securely engaged before launch, and using the Paralock 3’s blocking mechanism as directed. Finsterwalder & Charly has issued a retrofit directive requiring line guards on Paralock 3 carabiners; it also recommends regular functional checks. The company is developing the Paralock 4, a successor designed to prevent incorrect use of its optional blocking mechanism, with release expected in 2027. Through product information, technical guidance and updates, Finsterwalder & Charly supports pilots in using its flight equipment with care.
