## Description

Chelsea Kayak Club (CKC) is a friendly West London paddlesport club dedicated to sea kayaking and touring. Based at Brentford Boating Arch near Kew Bridge, the club welcomes adults aged 18 and over who can swim 50 metres in light clothing. Members paddle the River Thames, typically on evening sessions throughout the year, and explore coastal waters on weekend trips. The club also organises longer expeditions to destinations including Wales, Scotland, Devon and Dorset, as well as overseas locations.

CKC supports paddlers at different experience levels with beginner sessions, introductory and taster opportunities, and regularly organised training. Its programme is closely aligned with Paddle UK personal performance awards, helping members choose activities suited to their ability, fitness and appetite for adventure. Social events add to the club experience, with Thames paddles sometimes followed by a pub visit. Events and trips are listed in the club calendar and graded for suitability. CKC is affiliated with Paddle UK and is a Specialist Provider within its Go Paddling initiative.
